Students of Powiślańska Academy of Applied Sciences arrange their accommodation independently on the commercial real estate market or through private offers.
At the same time, in order to support our students in this process, the Academy provides assistance in searching for available offers and offers guidance regarding rental procedures.
The Academy has signed a cooperation agreement with RentPlanet (https://noclegi.rentplanet.pl/en/main/?location=gdansk), which allows students to conveniently search for available rooms and apartments directly through their platform.
If you require support in finding accommodation, please do not hesitate to contact our office – we will be happy to assist you and provide further information.
The Academy is not a party to private rental agreements and does not assume liability for arrangements made between students and accommodation providers, including the terms and conditions of any lease contracts concluded individually by students. All rental agreements entered into between students and landlords are concluded at the student’s own discretion and responsibility.
Students are strongly encouraged to read all rental agreements carefully before signing.
Please note that the majority of lease agreements in Poland are prepared in Polish. If needed, students may contact the Academy for assistance in reviewing the contract. We can help verify the basic terms of the agreement, clarify provisions regarding the security deposit and notice period, and provide general guidance to help students avoid potentially unfair conditions or fraudulent offers.

IMPORTANT:
- Whether you are renting a flat, a house or a room, you should sign a tenancy agreement.
- Check the estimated monthly expenses, how much does the water cost, how much you will pay for waste disposal, gas and electricity. Find out what rules apply in the place where you want to live – night-time silence, sorting of waste, timetable for waste collection and where to seek help if you face issues.
- If you choose to rent through an estate agency, ask who is liable for their services – you or the person you rent from.
- It is good if you have a witness to the arrangements, because in case of problems you have a chance to refer to an oral agreement. Sometimes employers offer housing for their employees – you can agree to such a solution, but remember that you are not legally obliged to.
